RULES FOR SAFE AND CORRECT USE OF HAND TOOL
A – PRACTICAL RULES:
- Make sure size of the wrench is appropriate for the work piece.
- Make sure the tool is positioned correctly during use.
- Frequently control the tool. Replace worn or damaged tools.
- Use the tool in accord with instructions of use. Do not place too much load on the tool.
- Especially beware of the point that the impact surface of a hammer must be larger than the impacted surface.
- Always use appropriate accessories for pneumatic tools. (Also make sure the pneumatic system is properly lubricated.)
- Use personal protection equipment appropriate for work conditions.
- Always make sure to lock lids and moving parts of wheeled set cabinets before moving them.
- Make sure to lock brakes of the wheeled set cabinets before working on them.
- Use VDE certified products made in accord with TS EN IEC 60900 Standard in high voltage work environments.
- Make sure to dry and lightly lubricate tools after use in moist and wet environments.
B- ACTIONS TO AVOID:
- In case of use with extensions like pipes, etc. do not exceed the specified torque value (especially in case of all wrenches).
- Do not use any tool outside of its intended purpose (e.g. do not use a screwdriver as a lever or a chisel).
- To not force the tool (e.g. wrenches and screwdrivers) by using excessive force (by pipe attachment or hammer impact).
- Never use the tool to hit another object harder than the tool (e.g. hammer and chisels).
- Do not alter the tools (in form or partially).
- Do not use metric sized wrenches on inch sized bolts or vice-versa.
- Do not use worn out or faulty tools.

- Do not perform grinding, stoning, welding, etc. on the tool in order to improve its function.
- Do not expose the tool to conditions that might result in loss of paint or coating during use. Otherwise corrosion resistance of the tool will be affected.
- Never use VDE certified products with damaged or worn isolation or handle in high voltage work environments.
